Electronic Security Queensland is a Brisbane based company-providing alarm monitoring as one of its major services. The company provides this monitoring service from its premises in Geebung, and is currently monitoring alarms from the UK, Northern Queensland to West Australia.

For the assurance of customers, the company has established and maintains a quality system based on the internationally recognised standard AS / NZS / ISO 9001: 1994.

Electronic Security Qld is also a Corporate Member of ASIAL (Cert No C0360)

The Managing Director, Nigel Longhorn has a long history of involvement in the security industry dating back to 1980, when he was the Queensland Operations Supervisor for Wormald Security. During this time Nigel covered the Commonwealth games, wrote the first Airport Screeners exam for Wormald Security in accordance with Air Navigation Orders and then moved into Rosters and Radio Operations. He moved on to TNT (Group 4) in 1987 as Queensland Operations Manager, where he supervised security arrangements for 1988 Brisbane Expo. Nigel formed his own company in 1991 and seeing the need for a "Monitoring Alarms Only" Central Station created Electronic Security Queensland, which was registered in 1994. In July 1999 Nigel was elected as the secretary of the Qld Branch of ASIAL.In August 2000 Nigel was elected as the Chairman of the Qld Branch of ASIAL that allows him to site on the ASIAL Board of Directors. Nigel was elected for two further terms as Qld branch Chairman. Nigel resigned from the position in 2003 after securing a Memorandum of understanding with the Qld Fire & Rescue Services for ASIAL. Nigel has also written training packages for Monitoring Centre Operators based on the National Competency Standards, and chaired the Security Industry Sub committee during the revue of the PRS98 and a better quality result in the PRS 03. When the PRS 03 package came up for revue Nigel put his hand up again to be part of the Special Reference Group for the review of the National Competency Based Training Package and provided QLD input in the Technical and Monitoring Area. The implimentation of the new Licence requirements for QLD also attracted the attention of Nigel and he provided the Office of Fair Trade (QLD) with a module for the Security Officer - Monitoring to aid in this new area of licence.
